I do not receive any push notifications. How can I fix this?

There are several possible reasons why you do not receive any notifications. It is important to check if you have an active internet connection first. The best way to do this is to open a random website in Safari. The easiest reason why notifications do not work is because they are disabled at the device settings. To check this:

  1. Open Settings from your devices main screen. You will see the screen shown below.
    push_settings
  2. Open Notifications. You will see the screen shown below. Make sure Notifications is enabled.
    push_notifications
  3. Open Live Scores from last screen. You will see the screen shown below. Make sure Sounds and Alerts are enabled.
    push_livescores
  4. Go back to Settings, activate Airplane mode for 30 seconds and deactivate it right after that. Close Settings and start Live Scores to let it register itself to our message server.
  5. Time to test the notification service. Live Scores has this ability itself. Launch it and open Preferences. Scroll down to Information and scroll down again to Test notifications. Tap Yes on the popup and close Live Scores afterwards. You will receive a test message within seconds. If you do not receive anything, read further for more tips.

If the above fails, you should check whether your device is jailbroken. The jailbreak process sometimes blocks the activation of notifications regardless of above settings. It is possible to fix this. The instructions are located at www.pushfix.info. After you tried to fix it, test notifications again like described at step 5 of above instructions.

If, after all this, notifications still do not reach your device, contact us. The best way to do this is described here.

The information is incorrect occasionally and some push notifications are delayed several minutes. What is wrong?

We use an external information source and therefore we cannot guarantee that it always is correct. We noticed that sometimes the names of the scorers from the lower divisions are delayed at our source. We apologize for the inconvenience but cannot fix this.

What kind of information about me do you store on your server?

To keep you up-to-date on football matches we have indeed information about you in our database. However this is nothing to be worried about, what we know about you is:

  • The device token of your device. This is an unique address where we can reach your device for the match notifications. This address is in no way linked to your phone number, but is generated by Apple. We cannot use this device token for anything other then sending these notifications.
  • What kind of events you want to receive: goals, red cards and/or half- and full time scores.
  • Which matches you subscribed too.

We hope this information makes you sleep again at night.

I have a question that is not on this list. How should I contact you?

For us to be able to help you as good as possible, it is best if you use the contact us function of Live Scores. That way you send some critical debug information automaticly along with your question.

To use the contact us function open Live Scores first. Open Preferences. Scroll down to Information and scroll down again to the Contact us button.
